Albir

Albir is situated along the coast, north of Benidorm . The beach of Albir is, in contrast to Benidorm, rather stony, but extremely pretty and the esplanade attracts many for a pleasant stroll. The town has only really developed since the early 1970's with much building taking place since 1990. It is now a bustling holiday area boasting numerous bars and restaurants. As there is a high international population, the choice of foods and bars is extensive and there are 5 different large supermarkets within the town. If you enjoy golf, then Albir offers its own driving course with a small area for putting practice, as well as a cricket club that occasionally hosts international matches and a bowling club. In addition to this, Albir also has a small local crafts market that trades on the sea front and an annual national film festival every July.
